UPDATE: ARRESTS MADE IN ROBBERY
(KSFY-TV/KELO-AM) Sioux Falls Police Department said late Sunday afternoon that three juveniles suspected of being involved in an armed robbery at a convenience store in northeast Sioux Falls Sunday morning have been arrested.
Sergeant Jon Thum said the armed robbery happened around 5:30 a.m. at Casey's General Store at 901 East Benson Road.
Thum said two store employees reported that two men entered the store and demanded money. One was armed with a long gun, and pointed it at the employees.
The suspects took money from the cash register and ran from the store.
Thum said officers' investigation led them to the Happy Rest Motel at 3307 N. Cliff Ave. A SWAT team came and searched two rooms and the vehicle allegedly involved in the armed robbery.
All three men were arrested and charged with first degree robbery and possession of a stolen firearm. One was also arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

SIOUX FALLS,SD (KELO-AM) - Another convenience store robbery in Sioux Falls led to what Police term "an incident" at a north side motel. The story starts with an armed robbery at Casey's General Store, on East Benson Road. That crime taking place at approximately 5:30 Sunday morning. Thieves got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. A Food n' Fuel store on West Russell Street was robbed at approximately the same time Friday morning during the snow storm.
Shortly before 10:00 AM, PD responded to the Happy Rest Motel, on North Cliff Avenue. Law enforcement units on scene included an Emergency Response Team, consisting of SWAT and negotiators. SFPD Sergeant Tom Ward says there was NO standoff, and that additional resources were called mainly out of a concern for safety. Police even tweeted out that the area had some roadblocks set up, and drivers should avoid the area. Part of Cliff Avenue was closed for about an hour. Ward said several people were "interviewed", and those conversations could eventually lead to arrests.
