SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) Minnehaha County Auditor Bob Litz is sticking by his guns in the phone flap election day.
He posted signs that no cell phones could be used in polling places despite state law that does not prohibit them.
"I believe I have that authority to do, is that I've decided that when you are in that line you can not use your cell phone and I believe, it's out of respect for everybody else," Litz said Friday on KELO Radio's Greg Belfrage Show.
Like a ballplayer getting ready for opening day, Litz goes into training to get ready for election day.
"I train for it three weeks before, just like I would a triathlon or something. I kid you not," Litz told the Belfrage Show. Litz said his three-week election training regimen includes eating well, getting plenty of sleep and plenty of exercise.
