SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls Police officers are wearing black bands around their badges in mourning for the two Iowa cops killed from ambush.
"It's a small gesture that we can do to show that we are supporting the Des Moines police department and we're feeling their pain as well, " said Sioux Falls Police Spokesman Sam Clemens at Wednesday's daily briefing. Clemens himself was wearing the black band.
Clemens said officers will wear the black badge bands until the funerals and will probably sent representatives to the funerals.
Clemens said that law enforcement is a brotherhood so that no matter where they area, all officerss are in the job together.
Two Iowa police officers were shot and killed at separate locations in the Des Moines area. A suspect is in custody.
