SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) High school playoff football reminds us that winter is fast approaching and the city of Sioux Falls wants to remind residents to try to keep the city as clean as possible before the snow flies.
City officials provide residents with these tips for fall property cleanup:
· Do not rake or blow leaves into the street, keep your yard free of trash, pick up and dispose of pet waste in your yard and keep all vehicles where they belong either in the garage or driveway or on the street.
Its two leaf and branch drop-off sites are open through Nov. 27, but will be closed Thanksgiving Day. They are located at 1015 E. Chambers St. and 301 N. Lyon Blvd.
Both are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This year, officials say pumpkins will also be accepted at the leaf and branch drop-off sites from Nov. 1 to Nov. 27.
