Update: Arrests in stolen car crash

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say an Albuquerque man and two Sioux Falls teenagers were arrested after they allegedly crashed a stolen car last night.

Officer Sam Clemens says police chased the stolen vehicle until it crashed into a parked car in western Sioux Falls and the driver and three passengers ran off.

After a short pursuit, and with the help of a police dog, three suspects were caught including 34-year-old Paul Roubideaux of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He's charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing. The other two suspects are juveniles from Sioux Falls and they were taken to the juvenile detention center.

Officer Sam Clemens says the car's owner left it running and unlocked at 14th and Minnesota to talk with someone at the intersection.  He says that's how fast it can happen and he advises never leaving your car running unless you lock it.

Police say someone reported the stolen vehicle and then followed it providing updates on its location. Officers caught up to vehicle at 41st and Sertoma.

The crash happened at the corner of West Zak Circle and South Clearbrook Avenue.
