SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls City Council hears second reading tonight of an ordinance calling for a special election in June on a new city administration building.

"Stop the Funding" organizer Bruce Danielson realizes the bonds can be sold October first no matter how the vote falls, but he implore supporters to pack Carnagie Town Hall tonight.

Danielson says it's important that voters help support the council members who will vote in favor of a special election.  He calls the vote critical adding that "we need this vote tonight.

Danielson isn't sure how the council will vote.

Down deep, he says, he thinks the council will vote for the ordinance but admits that "we're dealing with human beings that can change their minds in a heartbeat.

Meanwhile..."Stop the Funding" is challenging the City Clerk's decision to invalidate the petition forms calling for a special election. A court date has been set for September 28.
