SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELOAM) – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says Interstate 229 northbound in Sioux Falls will be reduced down to one lane from the I-29 junction to Louise Avenue from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8.
Motorists can expect congestion during the day, particularly during the morning and evening peak hours and are encouraged to use an alternate route during this time.
The closure is part of the $33.8 million project being completed on I-229. The prime contractor is T&R Contracting of Sioux Falls and the substantial completion date for this project is Nov. 4.
