SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A $12 million three-story golf entertainment venue will be built at the Sanford Sports Complex.
'Great Shots' will include an interactive driving range, a giant video wall, and a full service restaurant and bar for a year-round golfer's heaven.
Sanford Health president Kelby Krabbenhoft on Thursday announced the major project out at the windy Sports Complex property.
"It is a good day in South Dakota and I like the way Micah weaved words like 'blown away' into today's announcement. You can feel it." as Krabbenhoft competed with the strong wind knocking over signs, shaking the tent flaps and playing havoc with table covers and coffee cups.
The giant golf facility, scheduled to open in late 2019, will be about 54,000 square feet on the southeast corner of Benson Road and Westport Avenue.
“The vision of the Sanford Sports Complex has always been to create a place filled with activities the entire family can enjoy, and Great Shots is a perfect fit,” said Krabbenhoft.
The heated, interactive golf range will have 60 bays spread across three floors, featuring a giant video wall with golf technology.
