SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Mayor Mike says he's made a decision on whether or not to veto the council's decision to withdraw the sales tax bond for a new city administration building.
But he won't say what that decision is, yet.
Huether says he was surprised when Councilman Pat Starr voted for repeal.
The Mayor say his conversation with Starr indicated that he was in favor of the $25 million administration building across the street from the downtown library. When the time came for the vote, however, Starr voted to withhold the funding.
Huether says the city started considering a new building in 2007 when Dave Munson was mayor.
He can sign, leave unsigned and let it take effect or veto the measure. He must make a decision by Thursday.
The Mayor's comment came this morning on the Greg Belfrage Show
