SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) With tears streaming down her face, the mother of the video beating victim in Sioux Falls shared her family's nightmare.
"He had his whole life ahead of him and they stole that from all of us," Aimee Strauser tells KSFY-TV in a searing interview about the death of 18-year-old Arick Strauser over the weekend.
A video of the beating was posted online by some teenagers, and that's how Mrs. Strauser says she found out about her son's death.
"My daughter's friend had found on SnapChat this video and said that he looked a lot like my son. He's dead and they're standing over my son and you can hear them say: 'look at yo ass now." says a distraught Strauser in the KSFY interview.
16-year-old Wilson Hughes has been charged in the fatal beating. Police used the video to help crack the case.
