SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The City of Sioux Falls has an unexpected budget windfall of $3.3 million.
City Council must now decide how to spend it. The Huether Administration suggests that most, if not all, of the money go toward paying down debt. The City is refinancing some bonds for lower interest, and using the extra cash, would save that much more money.
Some Councilors want to consider spending at least some of the money in other ways.
There will be a big discussion on the cash at the 4 p.m. informational meeting, Tuesday, February 20, at Carnegie Hall.
