SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- City Council Vice Chair Christine Erickson sent out a terse email late Friday morning to fellow Councilors regarding Mayor Mike Huether calling a news conference about a consultant's report about the rippled siding on the Premier Center.
Erickson said she and Council Chair Rick Kiley were not consulted by the Mayor about the timing of Friday's midafternoon news conference.
"Please note Rick and I were not consulted with this step of the process," Erickson wrote. "If the press conf is held with less than a 24 hour notice Rick and I will not attend to ensure others have the opportunity to attend if you so desire."
Erickson did say she was "excited to see the results of the review."
Councilor Theresa Stehly did attend the press conference, but as an audience member and not as part of the formal presentation.
The City's initial news release noted "City Council Leadership also has been invited to attend." None attended. That media advisory is not currently posted on the City's website.
