Jackley says blunt force evidence was found about the head.
A California man was hitting speeds over 100 mph on Interstate 90 early New Year's Day and police had to stop him with spikes in the road. They searched the car and found the body.
The driver is Tosten David Walsh-Lommen, 30, of Santa Cruz, California. His dead mother is 58-year-old Michelle Walsh. California media reports indicate mother and son had a violent relationship. Neighbors talked about yelling and screaming coming from the home they shared.
