PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) Governor Dennis Daugaard has requested that all flags fly at half-staff on Monday for the funeral of State Representative Craig Tieszen.
Tieszen and his brother-in-law, Brent Moline, both of Rapid City, died in a freak kayaking accident in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific last week.
Tieszen was serving his first term in the State House of Representatives, after having served in the State Senate from 2009 to 2016.
His funeral will be held December 4 at 1 p.m. MST at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Fine Arts Theater. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Rapid City Club for Boys.
