SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- If you've been out this morning or last night shopping, you know its been busy at the big box stores in Sioux Falls.
The doors opened at 7 a.m. today at Scheels.
Quickly, the checkout lines stretched throughout the store.
Last night at 6, the westside Walmart's parking spilled into the neighboring Sam's Club lot.
And the westside Target and Shopko were completely full.
The southside Walmart was busy, but not as busy as its sister store on the west. There were parking spaces available not far from the door Thursday evening, despite a number of deals. Many shoppers were buying discounted 39 inch flat screen TVs.
One unfortunate shopper spent part of their Black Thursday evening on the side of Louise Ave. with emergency vehicles. The street narrowed to about one southbound at 7 p.m. while emergency workers shoveled absorbent on the vehicles leaking fluids.
Some restaurants were open. Granite City served a traditional--and all you can eat--Thanksgiving meal as their only offering. And of course, their own locally brewed beer.
As you continue your shopping today, you'll have great weather--a high about 60, partly sunny, and a little wind.
