SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A Sioux Falls man has been identified offically as the person who died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Sioux Falls.
Alexander Lorang, 18, was driving a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on Interstate 229 when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. The pickup traveled onto the right shoulder and into the ditch before the driver overcorrected to the left. This caused the pickup to cross Interstate 229 and strike the median and metal guardrail. After striking the guardrail the pickup vaulted, causing it to land on top of a 2004 Honda CRV, which was southbound on Interstate 229.
The pickup driver was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown whether he was wearing a seatbelt.
All three occupants of the Honda CRV were wearing seatbelts or were in a child restraint seat. The driver, Cody Dolge, 35, suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. The two male passengers, ages five and four, sustained minor injuries. All three are from Sioux Falls..
