WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) -- Almost half of the Republican U.S. Senators did not support the hurricane aid bill and short term continuing resolution.
However, Senator Mike Rounds did.
Rounds told MSNBC's Chuck Todd why today.
"I believe that first of all, I think it's very important in an emergency situation that we set aside our partisan differences," Rounds said. "We support the need to take care of the problems at hand. We have major emergency needs."
As a former governor, Rounds said he also understood the importance of getting an aid package passed for hurricane victims.
