SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) Newly announced candidate for mayor, Click Rain President Paul Ten Haken has lived in Sioux Falls for 18 years and says there's two big things he's learned.
"I have an extreme passion for people. I love people. I love developing people. I love leading people. I love bringing out the best in people. Two. I have an extreme passion for Sioux Falls." says Ten Haken in his campaign video.
He is the seventh candidate vying to follow Mayor Mike Huether in office in 2018.
Ten Haken, 39, founded Click Rain, a digital marketing company.
Even though the mayoral race is non-partisan, Ten Haken has been active in Republican Party politics for years.
He says the main points of his campaign will be more affordable housing, workforce development, navigating the city through trying budget times, and continuing the energy and growth in downtown Sioux Falls.
