SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) It's another drug-related murder in Sioux Falls, the fourth of the year.
A 17-year-old boy has been shot dead at Bakker Park in the southwestern part of the city.
18-year-old Dylan Michael Holler has been charged with first degree murder, first degree robbery, and aggravated assault.
Police Captain Blaine Larsen says it is an example of the terrible impact of the drug epidemic.
"The narrative always is that drugs aren't hurting anyone, but this was a great example. When this all comes out in the wash, it is a very small quanity of drugs we're talking about. Very little financial value."
He says police are still looking for the semi-automatic handgun used in the crime.
Larsen says Holler, the victim and two others had been in a truck when an argument started over something to do with drugs. The other two in the vehicle are also teenagers.
This is Sioux Falls seventh homicide of 2017.
