MINNEHAHA COUNTY, S.D. (KELO.com) The Minnehaha County Sheriff's office has released pictures of two people suspected of putting credit card skimmers on at least one gas pump in Baltic.
A skimmer device was recently discovered at the Classic Corner station in Baltic. Deputies have been checking other service stations in the area. A device may also have been placed on a pump at the Midway station.These skimmers can steal your credit card information without you knowing a thing about it.
If you have used your card to get gas at a service station in Baltic recently, authorities advise that you closely monitor your statements.
Somehow the bad guys were able to obtain a key to open up the pumps to install the skimmers. In the picture released by the Sheriff's office, one of the suspects is wearing distinctive white framed glasses.
