WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO AM) South Dakota's John Thune was on the CBS Early Morning Show pulling for John McCain to beat brain cancer.
"He's a warrior. I've traveled outside the United States a number of times with him and I've seen him work guys half his age into the ground," says Thune about Arizona's 80-year-old senior senator.
Senator Thune says that McCain is "beloved" on both sides of the aisle in Congress.
"He's a hero to me and all of our colleagues and to millions of Americans and people literally all over the world."
South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds tells Fox Business that he's praying for McCain.
"We want him back. The Senate is not the same without him."
Rounds predicts that McCain will be back.
