Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - A man wanted for robbery has been taken into custody following an eight hour standoff in east central Sioux Falls.
Police arrived at the home looking for 41 year old Christopher Romero at around 12:30pm. When they found him he eluded and climbed onto the roof of a nearby building. From there it was a game of cat and mouse between Romero and police as he maneuvered between the buildings and a nearby tree.
Romero was taken into custody at around 9PM without incident. He was then booked in the Minehaha County jail. No one was hurt in the incident and it's unclear if any weapons or drugs were involved.
Sioux Falls Police responded to the incident alongside Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and Minehaha County Deputies.
Argus 911 reports that at its peak, the crowd of police, reporters, and by-standards on the scene had grown to 100 or more.
