SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) Sioux Falls' traditional July 4th parade made its colorful, patriotic way down Phillips Avenue to Falls Park on Tuesday.
KELO-FM provided a lovely slide show of some of the fun.
Everybody worked up a good appetite for the free feed at Falls Park. The city served free pork sandwiches, bottled water, and ice cream to the first 5,000 people in line. About a hundred people volunteered to work on the holiday so others could enjoy the celebration.
Mayor Mike Huether promised to shake as many hands as possible.
What's the 4th without fireworks and the Jaycees never let us down. This was their 50th annual celebration at the W.H. Lyons Fairgrounds.
An Ethiopian immigrant in Sioux Falls reminds us all of how blessed it is to live in America.
"I just love the Constitution of America. Just a Godly-based Constitution America has," he tells KELO Radio's Greg Belfrage Show. He says everything is so green and fertile in America.
