VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO AM) – South Dakota Department of Transportation crews have completed the emergency bridge deck repairs and reopened Highway 50 over Interstate 29 at Exit 26.
The bridge was closed on Friday because of deterioration that was found while operations were being done to rehabilitate the bridge.
Motorists are reminded there is still a construction project on this structure and it will still be one lane of traffic across the bridge with stop lights at either end.
Work on the bridge is expected be complete at the end of July. This project is part of a bridge rehabilitation contract for nine bridges on I-29.
