SIOUX fALLS, sd (KELO AM) - Along with the hot temperatures today, we could see some much needed rain in the area tonight into Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service says storms are expected to form in central South Dakota overnight and move east trough the early morning.The main focus will be along the Highway 14 corridor, but could be as far south as Interstate 90. Some strong to severe storms are possible. The main treats could include hail to golf balls and wind gusts to 60 mph Sunday morning.
The threat for severe weather is marginal for the immediate Sioux Falls area, with a slight chance to the north and east of the area.
The next chance for rain returns Tuesday night into Wednesday, with cooler temperatures Wednesday through Friday. Temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 80's.
