SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) - Sioux Falls Police are looking for a suspect in a Thursday morning robbery. Patrols were called to Casey's General Store at Kiwanis and 5th Street at 2:40 A.M.
When the squads arrived, they found the front door to the store had been broken out with a rock. When video surveillence was reviewed, they found that a man had gotten in and stolen an undetermined amout of merchandise.The suspect got away on foot.
SFPD Captain Loren McManus says an employee was in the back room of the store getting ready for opening at the time of the robbery. She locked herself in a bathroom and was unharmed.
Police closed part of Kiwanis Avenue for a time, using searchlights to help find the suspect. They were unsuccessful.
The white man is said to be wearing khaki pants and a dark color shirt. If you have any information on the heist, call Crimestoppers, at 367-7007.
