SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) Sioux Falls City Council is being asked to approve a ten year, $11 million low interest loan for a major upgrade of the city's waste water treatment complex. Most of the facility was built back in the 1980s.
Public Works Director Mark Cotter says the facility will continue to do its job in the midst of the upgrades. If council approves, construction could begin later this year.
Cotter tells Council that there will be only "minimal' impact on customer rates.
