SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) The 'Field of Dreams' affordable housing project on the east side of Sioux Falls is finally underway.
The community of duplexes and townhouses has been on the drawing board since 2014. The City says the first units at 15th Street and Sycamore ought to be available in the fall.
The home are for families making less than 80 percent of the area's median income.
Every little bit helps, but the project's 26 units will barely put a dent in the ever-growing affordable housing gap in booming Sioux Falls. People have been on waiting lists for years.
