Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - A survey of roughly 870 Sioux Falls residents shows that most feel the city is a good place to live.
That's according to the latest National Citizen Survey, which was mailed to 3,000 randomly selected residents. Twenty-nine percent returned the questionnaire, which is a high number for a city like Sioux Falls.
The results showed 91% felt the town is a safe place to live and 89% feel it is a good place to raise a family. Eighty eight percent rated the quality of life in Sioux Falls as excellent or good, and 67% say we live in a good place for retirement.
The only overwhelming negative in the report was street repair, which responded rated at just 28%. Counlior Michelle Erpenbach said that could be due to the timing of the survey, which is sent out in the middle of winter, a less than ideal time for road conditions.
Rankings for the city's economic conditions, including cost of living, economic environment, and cost of living ranked anywhere between 63 and 86 percent positive.
