SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.COM) The 2017 Sculpture Walk in downtown Sioux Falls will feature the whimsical to the monumental.

Sculpture Walk Director Jim Clark has briefed City Council on the 56 new statues soon to decorate downtown. There will be 'Fishkabobs', fish on sticks, and 'My Little Deer', a doe with a cute fawn, to 'Ikicin', a buffalo 12 feet long.

"It's a challenge to site these big ones, but I think we have it figured out. He went through ten pairs of leather gloves just putting the hair on it," says Clark. In fact, this year will feature more big statues than ever before, including a Wright Brothers plane 20 feet wide, titled 'When Pigs Fly The Wright Way'.

"We are not putting it on public property because we can't, so we are going to put it on private, if we can find it. We are still looking for a site for it,"

This will be the 14th annual edition of Sculpture Walk.
