SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Former city councilor and Harley Davidson franchise owner Jim Entenman today announced his bid for mayor of Sioux Falls.

Entenman also announced his retirement from his family business after more than 42 years at its helm.

Entenman says the main reason he didn't run for a second term on the city council was because he treated the position as full time.  Coupled with working at J and L, Entenman says he was working two full time jobs with a short amount of sleep.

He says at the time his family was also expanding the business and making preparations to hand over the business to the next generation of Entenmans.

The 65-year-old Entenman graduated from Washington High School and attended Northern State University.  He's married to Jill and they have three children, Jimmy, Joe, Anna and four grandsons and one granddaughter.

Entenman has been very active in Sioux Falls serving on the city council and multiple community and non-profit boards.
