SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a 12-year-old boy was arrested for trying to sell marijuana to other students at Edison Middle School yesterday.
Officer Sam Clemens says the boy allegedly approached classmates at school and asked them if they wanted to buy some marijuana. Clemens says they refused and told staff who found a small amount of marijuana in the boy's locker.
Clemens says staff seized over 3.5 gram of pot from the locker.
The 12-year-old was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute in a drug free zone.
Clemens says usually kids bring marijuana to school for personal use, or to show it off, but they rarely offer to sell it.
