SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police identify the victim in Sunday morning's fatal stabbing as 27-year-old Alexander Peter Rodriguez.
Captain Blaine Larsen says the fatal stabbing occurred during an all night party with several unknown chemicals being abused.
Captain Blaine Larsen says the partiers were all friends, all acquaintance and he says investigators haven't determined much of a motive in the case other than a bad reaction to the drugs.
25-year-old Brady Holter is charged with manslaughter and second degree murder.
Larsen says Holter's girlfriend asked Rodriguez and another man to try and calm Holter who became animated and worked up. When they asked Holter to calm down, he picked up a fixed-blade, combat knife and allegedly stabbed the victim.
