SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The parents of the 16-year-old boy charged in Wednesday's homicide, after a drug rip and high speed chase, are facing charges themselves including tampering with evidence and providing investigators false information.
Lieutenant Mike Colwill (coal-well) says 50-year-old Joseph Michael Lingor and 54-year-old Vickie Lingor are expected to surrender to police today.
Colwell wouldn't say specifically what the Lingors are accused of, but investigators believe they tampered with the pickup truck their son Alexander was driving in a fatal car collision Wednesday morning on Western Avenue.
A third passenger in the pickup, 18-year-old Christian John Walberg of Sioux Falls, is charged with distribution of marijuana to a minor, hit-and-run and misprision of a felony.
An arrest warrant was issued today for Nyounkpao Kyne, 18 years old from Sioux Falls. Kyne was the driver of the sedan that struck the tree early Wednesday morning. The warrant was issued for: Vehicular Homicide, Vehicular Battery, Manslaughter 2nd degree, DWI 1st.
The Lingors are also accused of misprision of a felony which is a crime of having knowledge of a felony and not disclosing those facts to law enforcement.
Alexander Lingor faces murder and manslaughter charges in the drug rip, turned high speed chase and eventually a fatal car crash.
After marijuana was exchanged, the car that 15-year-old Kareem Hussein Cisse was in took off without paying Lingor and his friends. The car crashed into a tree and Cisse was killed at the scene. Lingor is accused of using his pickup to forced the car off the road
