SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.COM) It was golfing weather in Sioux Falls on Friday, setting a new record for the date.
"The high temperature today got to 59 degrees and the previous record was 56 set in 1977," National Weather Service Forecaster Brad Temayer told Kelo.Com. He said it was even warmer in Mitchell and othe points west of Sioux Falls.
Temayer said the balmy weather is due to a system of warm air coming in from the south and west.
"The other good thing is that we don't have a lot of snow pack that would moderate that air mass as it's working in," explained Temayer. He predicts warmer-than-normal temperatures into next week.
