SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.COM) The Sioux Falls doctor accused of taking sexual advantage of a teenage runaway from Georgia is now telling his side of the story.
His attorney claims that the girl posed as a 20-year-old college student online - lied about her age - in an attempt to blackmail Doctor Jonathan Cohen. The defense says it has text messages, proving blackmail.
Prosecutors this week dropped charges against Dr. Cohen, explaining that they could not find key out-of-state witnesses.
Cohen Attorney, Michael Butler, in a statement released to local media, says her fingerprints in the police database show that she is 18 years old. Butler also claims there is evidence that the female has attempted to blackmail at least one other individual.
