SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.COM) Baseball's Iron Man, Cal Ripken Junior, is coming to Sioux Falls.
The fabled Hall-of-Famer will be the featured speaker at the second annual South Dakota Sports Awards at the Sanford Pentagon June 3.
It was back in September of 1995 before a home town crowd at Camden Yards in Baltimore, that Ripken broke Lou Gehrigs record for the most consecutive games played - 2,131 games. The thunderous ovation lasted over 22 minutes. Ripken went on to play in an incrediable 2,632 consecutive games.
