SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Minnehaha County State's Attorney Aaron McGowan yesterday dropped the sexual contact charges against Augustana University professor Reynold Nesiba.
McGowan says the State found, "after having the benefits of further investigation and information from additional interviews, that criminal charges are no longer warranted."
A 51-year-old female told authorities in September that Nesiba made unwanted sexual advances and did not leave her home when he was asked to do so. She claims that the soon-to-be state legislator took off his clothes and stretched out on her bed.
McGowan said in a press release that the State found several inconsistancies in the evidence provided to Sioux Falls Police.
He added that because of the restrictions contained in Marsy's Law, along with confidentiality of law enforcement records, the "State is not able to provide further details in this matter."
