SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO-AM) -- The state has "banked" or reserved rail lines. Some still have rails, some have had the rails removed.
Regardless, they aren't being used.
Rep.-elect Michael Clark (R-Hartford) would like to see the state of South Dakota do something to enhance railroad infrastructure or get rid of the banked rail lines.
He says if railroads go away, 28,000 more trucks will be on the state's highways, adding further stress to the state's highway system.
Clark, spoke with KELO Radio's Todd Epp folllowing Michael's appareance on The Greg Belfrage Show Friday.
