SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) The community around the Sioux Empire are still in shock over the Copper Lounge building collapse yesterday. But a few members of the community have taken the steps to help.
KSFY reports that David and Rebecca Ohayon and Tessa Chornuk and Kimberly Tesmer have started GoFundMe pages to help out the families that were invovled in the collapse.The Ohayon's state "Due to this tragic event, the Fodness family needs our support to rebuild their lives as they have lost most of their belongings. The place they once called home is now gone. Please consider donating to this amazing family, as they are the type of people that would give you the last shirt off their back."
Chornuk and Tesmer started a GoFundMe account for the family of Ethan McMahon who was killed in the collapse. They are co-workers of Ethan's father. They state: "We as friends, family, acquaintances, and coworkers, are wanting to step up and help this family with whatever we can give. Please help us donate to his memory, and allow his family and friends to grieve without worrying about monetary things."
