SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office has revealed that the seven-year-old boy Heath Otto is accused of brutally murdering was his nephew.
Otto is charged with killing his mother and his nephew at a mobile home just north of Sioux Falls.
The Sheriff's Office says the little boy was being temporarily cared for by his grandmother Carol Simon, Otto's mother, when the double killing occured.
The boys mother has given permission to authorities to make his name public: Brayden Robert-Emil Otto.
Heath Otto is in the Minnehaha County Jail on a $5 million cash only bond.
