SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) No major problems reported at the polls in Sioux Falls on election day.
Despite concerns that the longer-than-normal ballot with ten ballot issues might slow things down, the voters seemed to sail right through.
"I did my research and had everything figured out in my head," said a woman to KELO Radio's Mike Leischner, who asked voters a number of questions as they walked out of the polling places.
Their thoughts on a long acrimonious presidential campaign season?
"I dreaded turning the TV on. It was actually heartbreaking," was one opinion.
Now that's it's over can the deeply divided country come together?
"I hope it happens, but I think it's going to take several months because the sides are so opposite," was one cautious response. But this response from a Trump voter suggests it may take longer than several months to bridge the divide.
"It was tiresome the lies coming from one side, the Democrats, the way they were running a filthy campaign."
