SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) Construction permits in booming Sioux Falls in October fell off their record pace..
"We did 70.3 million in October in 2015. This last month in October we did 38.3." as City Permits Chief Ron Bell first announced the new numbers Tuesday on KELO Radio's It's Your Business Show with Bill Zortman.
Despite the slower October, Bell believes that with two months to go, Sioux Falls could still score another record year
"If we can average 32 or more million in the next two months which could possibly occur because we have a lot of commercial plans on the rack that we haven't issued." says Bell.
2015 was a record construction year with a total of $676.3 million in valuation. For the first ten months of 2016, valuation is a little over $611.6 million.
