SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A rural Sioux Falls man faces five counts of possessing child pornography and authorities say there could be more charges.
Captain Jason Gearman with the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office says 44-year-old Eric Van Emmerik was arrested last week at his home just north of Sioux Falls.
Gearman says investigators are still checking Van Emmerik's computer.
Gearman would only say that a "cyber tip" led authorities to an investigation of Van Emmerik.
Gearman says just like a narcotic's division, most law agencies have an internet crimes against children division. He says the division with the Minnehaha County Sheiff's Office is small now but he adds that it could keep busy with more people.
