SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) - Opponents of Amendment T--a bipartisan commission that would redistrict legislative seats--says the current process is fair.
A former legislator begs to differ.
Last week, Republican state Rep. Jim Bolin said that former Democratic state Sen. Franck Klouceck was not targeted for gerrymandering in 2011.
Klouceck says not true. He says a plan was in place before the legislative committee began and he lost most of home area. Then he lost in 2012 after willing 11 straight elections from the Bon Homme County area.
The 22 year legislative veteran says he knows of other Democrats--and recalcitrant Republicans--who also got redistricted out of jobs by their peers.
