SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Minnesota Secretary of State again leans on one of that state's professional athletes to encourage residents to vote in the general election.
The PSA features Minnesota Wild star Charlie Coyle encouraging Minnesotans to "get in the game and vote November 8th."
The PSA also encourages residents to register to vote online. South Dakota law does not allow residents to submit their voter registration form electronically.
The 15 second reminder will air on FOX Sports North, which airs the Wild's games, between now and October 18th. That's the registration deadline in Minnesota.
The Wild joins the Timberwolves, Lynx, and Twins in encouraging Minnesotans to vote this November.
By the way...the Wild lost the opener to the St. Louis Blues 3-2
