SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls Police Chief Matt Burns says there is still no clear motive for why 400 to 500 people got into a big brawl outside the Multi-Cultural Center Friday Night.
Burns says there is no indication that it was gang related, but when a concert draws this many people it makes it tough on the investigation.
"These concerts draw in folks from all around, from Omaha, from the Twin Cities, and other places, so it is sometimes difficult to find out who exactly is responsible." Chief Burns tells KELO Radio News.
Burns says the police want to work with the Center and with other venues around town to make sure they have the appropriate resources on hand to manage the crowd.
This brawl happened after a rap concert had just ended, but Burns says this kind of violence can happen at any kind of concert.
