SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) Construction in booming Sioux Falls is back at a record pace.
That's despite what City Permits Director Ron Bell called an "average" September.
"We're about $27.3 million ahead of last year's record pace," Bell told Monday's edition of KELO Radio's It's Your Business with Bill Zortman.
Through September the city permitted $573.4 million in construction valuation. Last year's annual record was $676 million.
The city needs to permit an additional $103 million in the final three months of 2016 to break the record. Bell says there are still a lot of construction projects in the pipeline.
