SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-A,) Sioux Falls City Councilor Theresa Stehley went ballistic on Tuesday at an otherwise routine Council informational session.
She was repeatedly gaveled to be quiet, but she kept talking until she got it all off her chest.
"I have been bullied, intimidated, and threatened", she railed on, claiming she had been pressured not to advocate for the citizens or to talk to the media. Apparently the big issue that set her off was the controversy surrounding the city administration building project. Stehley has been an outspoken critic of the project.
Stehley's outburst continued as Council was heading into executive session. She voted against going behind closed doors, claiming it was an "illegal act."
Some citizens in the audience started taking Stehley's side, yelling out at the Council. It become so heated that Chairman Rex Rolfing threatened to have them removed if the commotion didn't stop.
