SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Humboldt woman was awakened by an intruder in her apartment early Saturday morning and called authorities while she hid under her bed.
Captain Jason Gearman says when deputies arrived they found 29-year-old Charles Edwards of Salem naked.
Gearman says deputies found Edwards' clothing scattered through the apartment and he allegedly scattered garbage as well.
Gearman says the female victim displayed a cool head and stayed under the bed while Edwards was roamng around, at one time actually sitting on the edge of the bed.
Edwards was arrested for burglary and intentional damage to property.
Gearman says Edwards may have been drinking at a neighbor's residence, became disoriented and staggered into the apartment. He says there was no sign of forced entry.
